There are many fine repeaters across
the country including here in Iowa,
but, if you check the online resources
and even the ARRL Repeater Directory,
you may find that not all the repeaters
listed will reply to your kerchunk,
because they are "Paper Repeaters"!

Paper repeaters are repeaters that were listed
a long time ago, may even have been active
at one time, but, are nonexistant today!

The Iowa Repeater Council seems to have not
updated anything for several years.
Many Seits repeaters are still listed long
after that repeater net has been dissolved
and the repeaters retired.
