Robo Calls

I used to get a lot of Robo Calls, most on my
answering machine asking my machine to press 1
for a live operator or press 2 to disconnect!

Robo calls to sell me satellite services or DTV
converters and asking my answering machine to
press 1 for an operator!

One of the schemes that had been promoted before
laws were changed to prohibit it was warranties.
I would get a robo call saying the warranty had
expired on my old car and for a few thousand
dollars they could update my warranty!

Again, my answering machine was being asked to
punch numbers to answer this offer, but, again,
the machine was too dumb to push any numbers!

Another scheme was to reduce my interest rates
to a lower level, and again, my answering
machine was being asked to punch in numbers!

All of this has apparently stopped since
September 2009 with new laws and my poor
answering machine is no longer being asked to
respond by punching numbers!

Robo calls to collect debts are still coming
now and then, asking for someone who does
not live here to call back.
